Summer Games is Special Olympics Pennsylvania's largest statewide competition bringing more than 2,000 athletes and 750 coaches to Penn State University in State College.

Competition in athletics, basketball, equestrian, golf, gymnastics, softball, swimming and tennis highlight the three day event. Weeks of hard work and dedication in training is rewarded as athletes are cheered on and supported during competition by more than 1,000 enthusiastic volunteers.

With the support of enthusiastic volunteers like you, who cheer on and provide vital assistance to the athletes, we're able to make this an unforgettable event!

The Be a Fan Torch Run for Special Olympics Pennsylvania is a segmented non-competitive run (approx. 150 miles run) with 53 segments ranging from a 2.5 mile to 4 miles. The Run will take place May 21-23, 2024 and feature over 500 participants representing more than 50 law enforcement teams.

Our Torch Run partners are thrilled to be back in person and running the Flame of Hope for this year’s Summer Games. We are thankful to again partners with Energy Transfer, SOPA’s premier “Guardians of the Flame” Law Enforcement Torch Run partner.
