The entire course is on the Penn State campus. The 5K run/walk will begin with the start gate on Curtin Road near the entrance to the Sports Museum of the Beaver Stadium.
From the start, the course will proceed west on Curtin, crossing University Drive. The crossing will be monitored by Penn State police, and cars on University Drive will be temporarily stopped as needed. The course then continues west on Curtin, turning south on Burrows by Rec Hall. The runners go down Burrows and turn onto Pollock Road until they reach the path prior to Old Main at the Schwab Auditorium. The runners follow the path and turn left until they reach the Old Main parking lot. They are then directed back onto Pollock Road. This change in 2024 replaced the section that went down Shortledge across the dorms to McKeen and back onto Pollock.
At the intersection of Pollock Road and Shortledge Road, the runners and walkers merge again on Pollock Road proceeding east, and then heading north on Bigler Road toward Curtin Road. The course then turns east onto Curtin Road, again crossing University Drive, at the same intersection and with the same monitoring being completed by Penn State police. The course then proceeds east about another block on Curtin Road and turns into Beaver Stadium, finishing at the 50-yard line of the football field. The finish within Beaver Stadium is with the approval of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and Penn State University Relations.
The 2 mile “fun walk” will begin on Curtin Road, same as the 5K course. The course proceeds west, crossing University Drive, to Shortlidge, turns south, enters the Shortlidge Plaza, then turns east on Pollock, and follows the 3-mile course back to Beaver Stadium.
Note: Event will take place rain or shine

Virtual running/walking is a way to participate that can be done at any location, any time, and at any pace at the distance of your choice (3.1 mile run or a 2-mile fun walk). You can walk, jog, use the treadmill, run outside, or you can participate in another "real-world" race. You can run your race at your own pace wherever and whenever you like..

How Do I Fundraise For The Virtual Run/Walk?
Once registered as a virtual participant, your personal fundraising page will automatically be created. Virtual participants can be team captains, members of teams, participate in fundraising contests and become top fundraisers.
Maximize your fundraising impact! Ask your friends and family to sponsor your efforts. Ask them to donate per mile, or donate a flat amount, for the total 5k or 2-Mile Walk. Please also keep in mind that there’s no set amount for sponsorship, so your friends and family can sponsor you at any level that’s feasible for them. You can also choose to pay more than the registration fee as an extra donation!
Be sure to share your experience by using #VirtualBSR on any social media platform!
