Philadelphia UNcathlon Event Information

UNcathlon is a UNified Sports, Fitness, & Fundraising Team Challenge that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power of teamwork while bringing awareness to Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

The 2024 Philadelphia UNcathlon, presented by Energy Transfer will take place Saturday, June 22, 2024 in the Field House of the Philadelphia Eagles NovaCare Complex.

The UNcathlon event embodies SOPA’s daily goal: inclusion and acceptance through sport. This unique “combine” event consists of 10 SOPA skills events… with an additional element of fundraising!

The UNcathlon event embodies SOPA’s mission: Inclusion and acceptance through sport. This unique event consists of a combination of football combine and SOPA sports events, with an additional element of fundraising! Since the UNcathlon is a fundraiser benefiting SOPA, the first ‘event’ is FUNDRAISING! The funds raised help to provide training and sport competitions, free of charge to thousands of deserving athletes.

The Philadelphia UNcathlon is Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Doors open at 9 am for participant and volunteer check-in. Volunteers must arrive no later than 9:30 am. Participants must arrive no later than 9:45 am. The event begins at 10 am.

The Philadelphia UNcathlon is under the bubble at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia.

UNcathlon is comprised of 10 "combine style" events. The first “event” is fundraising, as the total money raised by each team will count towards the team’s points in the competition.

Due to limited space, spectators will be limited to athlete and participant guests only.

Yes, there are volunteer opportunities. Areas of need include: Scorekeeping, event set-up, registration & refreshments, site managers, event breakdown, and more.

No outside food or beverages are allowed inside the NovaCare Complex. Health-conscious food and beverages will be available to event participants.

Yes, complimentary parking is available at the Naval Hospital Lot next door to the Nova Care Complex.

Yes, the facility is fully accessible. If you have an ADA hangtag, you will be able to park directly in front of the Field House in the NovaCare Complex lot by showing your tag to security at the gate.

If you wish to organize/sponsor, we require teams of at 4-5 people that will partner with 2-3 Special Olympics athletes.

Portable and ADA-accessible restrooms will be available. Due to space limitations, changing areas will not be available on-site.

The event will be indoors at the Field House of the NovaCare Complex.
