Special Olympics Pennsylvania to Host Inaugural Statewide Softball Championship at In the Net on August 22-24
(Palmyra, PA – August 13, 2025) - Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) is thrilled to announce it will host the inaugural 2025 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Softball Championship August 22-24, 2025, at In the Net, Flightpath Sports Park in Palmyra, PA. The Special Olympics Pennsylvania Softball Championships will welcome more than 500 athletes, Unified partners and coaches from across the state to compete in softball, Unified softball and individual skills.
Held in Palmyra, Pennsylvania and hosted by Special Olympics Pennsylvania with support from Dauphin County Economic Development Authority, Visit Hershey Harrisburg, Hershey Harrisburg Sports & Entertainment Authority, PA Able, Philadelphia Insurance, Sheetz, Abound Health, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Knights of Columbus, Post Acute Medical, Penske, Wawa, Aramark, and the Law Enforcement Torch Run, this three-day event features competitors from 16 counties around the state.

- 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Competition, Pool Play
- 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Healthy Athlete dental Screenings
- 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - AHN Chill Room
Sunday, August 24th
- 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Competition, Medal Rounds
- 11:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Awards

WHO: Special Olympics will welcome more than 400 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes and Unified partners from August 22-24, 2025, for the 2025 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Softball Championship.
