Regional Sport & UCS Director: Greater Philadelphia Region

Job Summary: 

The Sport & Unified Champion Schools (UCS) Director position will play an important role in supporting and managing school-based inclusion programming in the Greater Philadelphia region of Pennsylvania and supporting community integration. Additionally, this position will assist with meeting overall Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) strategy goals and objectives. This individual will work directly with teachers, coaches, student leaders, and administrators in assigned schools and help them manage quality UCS programming. This consists of Interscholastic Unified Sports (IUS), interscholastic school teams composed of students with and without intellectual disabilities who train and compete together as equal peers; collaborative inclusive youth leadership and whole school engagement activities designed to promote awareness, education, and acceptance.

Bear Force One Mobile Plunge Unit Driver

Job Summary: 

Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) is seeking a Bear Force One Mobile Plunge Unit Driver to join our team for the upcoming Polar Plunge season. Bear Force One is SOPA’s brand-new mobile plunge unit—a portable polar plunge—that travels to events across the state. In this operational role, you will be responsible for safely transporting and operating the unit at various Polar Plunge fundraising events. This position is more than just driving; you will also serve as an on-site ambassador for our organization, helping create a positive brand and customer experience through professional interactions, the visibility of our branded unit, and courteous engagement with event partners and community members.This is a seasonal, hourly position from October to April, aligning with our plunge season.
