What to Know
> General Registration is $50; all registrants will receive the Pittsburgh Plunge 2023 T-Shirt.
> Show up ready to plunge in proper attire on plunge day.
> Jump into a chilly pool outside the stadium for the athletes of Special Olympics Pennsylvania!
Not Plunging?
> Spectators can cheer on individuals and teams from the viewing areas, join us at PLUNGETOWN for food and entertainment, and can also sign up with a one-time $50 donation as ‘Too Chicken to Plunge’ in support of our athletes.
Schedule
Cool Schools Plunge – Friday, February 24, 2023
- Arrive starting at 9 am - 12 pm
- Bus parking at designated locations
LETR & Super Plunge – Friday, February 24, 2023
- LETR & Super Plunge starts at 11 am - 5 pm
- Commit to plunge 24 times in six hours
- Food will be provided in the Super Plunge tent
General Plunge – Saturday, February 25, 2023
- Registration opens at 9:00 am
- Opening Ceremonies start at 11:00 am
- Plunge starts at 11:30 am with our Law Enforcement Teams and Special Olympic Athletes; General plungers are welcome to continue enjoying Plunge Town
- General Plunge starts at 12 pm
VIRTUAL POLAR POP
> Pop a water balloon filled with cold water over your head, or over the heads of friends and family members, to show your support of Special Olympics. This option is open to everyone and is perfect for people who are unable to attend the in-person plunge.
> Commit to register $50 and get your t-shirt; Pop shirts will be shipped by March 31, 2023.
> Post about your Pop on social media using #PGHPolarPlunge and challenge others to register and join in the fun!


IMPORTANT: All reasonable efforts will be made to hold scheduled in-person plunges which assure the safety of all participants. However, Special Olympics PA reserves the right to modify or cancel events as circumstances surrounding the pandemic evolve.
