Workplace Giving
Payroll deduction through your workplace makes giving easy and consistent. You can support Special Olympics Pennsylvania through your employer’s United Way campaign, the Combined Federal Campaign, or other workplace giving programs.
Most programs allow you to designate a specific charity. Please be sure to select Special Olympics Pennsylvania when completing your pledge form. Your support helps provide year-round sports, health, and leadership programs for our athletes at no cost to them or their families.
Tribute / Memorial Gifts
Tribute giving is a meaningful way to honor someone special while supporting athletes in your community. Individuals, families, and businesses often choose tribute gifts in place of traditional presents for occasions such as birthdays, holidays, graduations, or office openings.
Memorial gifts are a thoughtful way to remember a loved one while making a lasting impact through Special Olympics Pennsylvania. All tribute and memorial gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Gifts of Cash or Securities
Special Olympics Pennsylvania gratefully accepts gifts of cash by check or credit card. Cash contributions are deductible for the full amount of the gift, subject to IRS regulations, if you itemize in the year of the donation.

The Loretta Claiborne & Sue Paterno Endowment Fund
The Loretta Claiborne & Sue Paterno Endowment Fund benefits Special Olympics Pennsylvania in perpetuity. Each year, a portion of the earned interest of the invested gift is used to support athletes to connect with others (those with and without intellectual disabilities), improve their health and fitness, and develop leadership skills – all through competitive sports! The remainder is added to the original principal, which continues to grow.

Donate Your Car
Special Olympics Pennsylvania promotes acceptance, empowerment, dignity, pride and fun through 25 competitive sports for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Your car donation will help serve over 70,000 athletes by offering Olympic-style individual and team sports opportunities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
How to Donate Your Car
1. Go online or call (888) 828-0022 to fill out the donation form. Provide us with some information about your vehicle and where it will be picked up.
2. A towing agent will contact you within two to three business days to arrange a pick up time most convenient for you.
3. After your car is sold, you’ll receive an email that includes a tax receipt.
