SOPA Staff Changes – July 2019

Wenona Sutton, Marketing Communications Manager

Wenona Sutton recently left Special Olympics PA to assume the position of Director of Community Relations for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington.  Her last day with us was July 12th.

Wenona contributed a lot to the success of this organization over the course of 5+ years, working across department and program to help advance our mission. She proved to be a jack of all trades, managing graphic design projects, marketing, public relations, social media and development needs. Her sense of humor, “team player” demeanor, strong dedication to completing goals, eagerness to learn, and desire to grow as an individual will surely be missed.

Roberta Melnyk, Local Programs Staff Accountant

Roberta Melnyk left Special Olympics PA to pursue another career opportunity as Finance Director at a YMCA in her area. Her last with us was July 12th.

Even though Roberta was only been with SOPA for a year and a half, her professionalism and dedication has taken the local program accounting process to another level. We are sure that she will be an asset to the YMCA in her new role and wish her great success.

Christine Anderson, Director of Foundation Relations

Christine Anderson will soon leave Special Olympics PA to assume a role as the first Grants Services Supervisor with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit #23.
