Take the Polar Pop and Register to Run

2022 Plunge Info:

The in-person part of Polar Plunge season is now complete: Thank you to everyone that helped raise more than $1.25 million thus toward the Plunges, Pops and Rain Rallies.

The fundraising opportunities don’t stop after the last plunge, there are still several fundraising opportunities for your programs…

  • Register for the Polar Pop
  • The Polar Pop is still active through March 31: Be a part of POP MADNESS, and bring some extra revenue to your program this month! Participate in three easy steps:
    • Record yourself Popping a balloon filled with cold water over your head – get creative!
    • Share your Pop on social media using #PAPOLARPOP and submit your video to our Dropbox

From NOW until March 31, if you sign up, complete your Polar Pop and submit a video of it, you will be entered into our POP MADNESS Bracket. On March 27-April 2, tune into our Facebook Page and vote for your favorite Pop! The first place popper will receive a $200 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods; runner up will receive a $100 gift card

  • If a school would prefer to do a fundraiser on campus, they can do our on-campus school fundraising events (Rain Rally) like this past year’s April Showers, a campus Polar Pop, or whatever else they can develop. Register at https://give.specialolympicspa.org/RAINRALLY. COOL SCHOOLS RAIN RALLY raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) and its Unified Champion Schools program. The event is hosted by a school or university and held on campus or a nearby community site.  Most often, the local fire department generously provides support.   One or more fire engines are brought to create a rainbow shower of water through which students, teachers, and administrators go through with spirit! Schools can register teams to do a Rain Rally through April 30, 2022!

Beaver Stadium Run:

  • The 2022 Beaver Stadium Run returns to Penn State University on April 24, 2022. You can learn more at www.stadiumrun.org; the registration is LIVE!
  • As in past years, you can register to run in person at Beaver Stadium, or as a virtual runner.
  • Like with all of our events, there is the opportunity to generate local revenue. When you register, simply note the program to which you want your money to go, and that program will receive the revenue share from your participation.
