Special Olympics is absolutely FREE of charge to any eligible individual wishing to participate thanks to the monetary donations of individual supporters and corporate sponsors.

This incredible generosity is what makes it possible for Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) to allow people with intellectual disabilities develop physical fitness, self-confidence and share their gifts and achievements with others.

To ensure the continued success of SOPA, each year we hold several unique state-wide special fundraising events to further engage the public’s awareness and support of the organization.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run® is Special Olympics’ largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. Law enforcement officers are very active in communities throughout the state and generate funds through local fundraising events such as Polar Plunges, Motorcycle Rides, 5K Runs and more!
