On Friday, April 28, 2017, Special Olympics athletes from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and North Carolina attended the Penn Relays, the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States held in Philadelphia! Athletes competed in a Special Olympics 100m dash and 4x100m Relay, and a Unified 4x100m Relay.

The Penn Relays regularly attracts more than 15,000 participants from Special Olympics, high schools, colleges, and track clubs throughout North America and abroad, competing in more than 300 events over the course of three days. Fifty Special Olympics track athletes, 16 Unified partners and 21 coaches participated in this monumental event.  Pictured above are our PA participants.  Pictured below is the full Special Olympics group.  Click here to view more event images.
